The Network of Thais Overseas (NTO)

Dear all,

As I have mentioned earlier, the Thais in different parts of the world have received the ballots and were supposed to return them within this Friday or Saturday.  Last weekend I sent the draft of the attached letter to the PDRCs in Switzerland, Germany, France, Denmark, Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand, New York, Boston/New England, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, and USA-Southern California and asked them for feedback. The majority of them agreed not to return the ballots. A few have already organized a protest against the election at the Royal Thai Consulate General office in their city, including the Thais in Los Angeles.  Considered a very successful rally, there were approximately 100 Thais with their flags and posters supporting reform before election. The Consul General himself came out to meet with the protesters and listened to the open letter that took more than 10 minutes, witnessed by the local police and the Thai press corps who had been invited to the press conference at this office regarding the General Election.  I must commend the strong and united team in L.A. I noticed that in both Thailand and overseas, we the Thais have changed spiritually. Let's keep it this way. Education Reform must include Thai history, national identity, morality and ethics. We must stay united and do not let the "Police of the World" to break us apart.

More photos and a Youtube video should be ready very soon and will be shared with you on Blue Sky Channel and Facebook.  Attached is the open letter to Yingluck Shinawatra that the Consul General promised to forward to her immediately. Another copy was presented to him to forward to the Chairman of กกต., too.

Sincerely,

Ketnapa Siri
